There’s not long until the annual Guinness Cork Jazz Festival returns to the streets of Cork with its eclectic mix of musical performances and workshops throughout the city between the 22nd & 26th October.
The festival has been running annually since 1978 and grown into one of the most eagerly anticipated events on the Irish festival calendar.
With over 40,000 visitors expected to enjoy the festivities at various venues and hotels in Cork City over the October bank holiday weekend, there promises to be plenty to entertain the whole family.
At The Kingsley Hotel will be part of the official Guinness Jazz Trail and will be hosting a number of performances over the weekend. To ensure that guests can celebrate the festival in true style there will be a delicious Cork Jazz Brunch on Sunday, 25th October.
The Niall Marron Quartet will perform in Fishers Bar each night of the weekend with singer-songwriter Fiona Kennedy providing the musical entertainment during the Jazz Brunch between 1.30 & 3.30 p.m.
Around the city a host of top jazz artists and performers from around the world including The Coronas, Gary Numan, The Drifters, The Boomtown Rats, Jack-L and local acts such as Groove Collective & One Horse Pony among others.
