The popular Newstalk show ‘Talking History’ will broadcast live from The Kingsley Hotel in Cork on the 14th of May.

Newstalk’s Talking History rolls into Cork, otherwise referred to as the Rebel County, on the 14th May, where Presenter Dr Patrick Geoghegan will be asking and debating “How did Cork become the ‘Rebel County’ and why was the bulk of the War of Independence and Civil War fought in Cork?”

The public can join the ‘Talking History’ team as part of the live broadcast audience when the show goes live from hotel when the Dr. Geoghegan will be joined by a lively team of Historians from University College Cork will be joined by Broadcaster and Author Joe O Shea, Novelist, Playwright & Documentary maker Conal Creedon and Historian and Biographer Meda Ryan debunk some of the myths of Cork past and present.
