The hotel receives a Customer Service Excellence Award by Fáilte Ireland

The Kingsley, the polished and sophisticated hotel overlooking the River Lee, has once again been recognised for its excellent standards of service, having been awarded not one, but two awards this week.

The team at the Cork hotel is delighted to have their high standards of service recognised, having received the Customer Service Excellence Award from Fáilte Ireland and winning Ireland’s Four-Star Hotel Spa Experience at the Hotel & Catering Review Gold Medal Awards, which took place on Wednesday evening.

Four Star Hotel Spa ExperienceHighly regarded in the hospitality industry, the Fáilte Ireland Service Excellence Programme encourages the optimisation of individual and collective operational capability, leading to improved guest satisfaction and employee morale. The Accredited Service Excellence Programme is suitable for all management and front of house staff in tourism-related business.

The award can be achieved in three ways; individually, as a business, or a destination/ community. The Kingsley received the Business Hotel Award for its commitment to the provision of continuous Service Excellence, having met the criteria of 75% of front-facing staff successfully completing the Service Excellence programme.

The Kingsley is delighted to have received this accreditation by Fáilte Ireland, with a presentation of the award taking place in The Kingsley with Dr. Dean Panter of Fáilte Ireland who presented the award to Fergal Harte, General Manager of The Kingsley, and the hotel team.

Adding another string to their bow, The Kingsley was delighted to have won Ireland’s Four-Star Hotel Spa Experience at the Hotel & Catering Gold Medal Awards 2019, which took place on Wednesday evening in Lyrath Estate, Co. Kilkenny. Celebrating a remarkable 31 years, the Hotel & Catering Review Gold Medal Awards are the leading independent awards for the Irish hospitality industry and aim to recognise and celebrate the outstanding achievements of the hotel and catering sector throughout the country over the past twelve months.

After three months travelling all corners of the country and visiting every single property that entered the awards, the Hotel & Catering Review Gold Medal Awards judging panel were delighted to award this prize to The Spa at The Kingsley, which was also Highly Commended in the Wellness category of the Irish Tatler Spa Awards 2019.
