We are thrilled to learn that two chart-topping acts will take to the stage at Live At The Marquee in 2022.
The first act announced for the 31st May is a recent chart-topper, whose talent has seen him perform with such big names as Calvin Harris and Chase & Status. Tom Grennan shot to fame in the last number of years as a talented pop vocalist, with a unique indie style to his material. His guest vocals on Chase & Status’s “All Goes Wrong” in 2016, garnered critical acclaim when it was featured as the Hottest Record on Annie Mac’s BBC Radio 1 show. His collaboration with Calvin Harris on ‘By Your Side’ has had over 100 million plays on Spotify and it’s easy to see why!
Tom has also worked on his own hits in 2021 with records such as ‘A Little Bit Of Love’ and ‘Let’s Go Home Together’, storming the charts this Summer.
Simply Red, led by Mick Hucknall, who recently expressed his excitement at returning to live music, will play their gig on the 1stJune, starting off the Summer in style.
The band has been delighting audiences since 1985 with chart-topping hits such as ‘Holding Back The Years’, ‘Fairground’ and ‘Moneys Too Tight To Mention’ and we expect Cork crowds to join in a rousing sing-along to this epic pop band next year.
